Acceptance of these terms
By accessing OtherHalf AI, creating an account or sending a message to a companion, you agree to these terms. If any part is unacceptable to you, please do not use the service.
Who may use the service
You must be at least 18 years old, or older if that is the age of majority where you live, and you must have the legal capacity to enter this agreement. You are responsible for making sure adult companion chat is lawful in your country.
What OtherHalf AI provides
We provide an entertainment service: a chat with virtual companions, together with optional voice notes, images and personality settings. We provide access to the service and nothing more.
Companions are fictional
Every companion on OtherHalf AI is a fictional character. Names, biographies, photographs and personalities are created for entertainment and do not depict real people, real events or real relationships.
Creating an account
You agree to give accurate registration details and to keep them current. Accounts created with false information, or with someone else's details, may be closed without notice.
Account security
Keep your password private. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, and you should tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
One account per person
Unless we agree otherwise in writing, each person may hold one account. Creating additional accounts to extend free access or to avoid a suspension is a breach of these terms.
Free access
Free access includes a daily allowance of messages, which we may adjust from time to time. Free access is offered as it stands, with no guarantee of any particular feature or volume.
Paid plans
Paid plans unlock features described on the plans section of our home page. What is included in each plan is what is listed there at the moment of purchase.
Renewals and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account settings, and access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Refunds
Payments for digital access are generally non-refundable once the plan has been used. Where a statutory right of withdrawal applies, or where a genuine technical fault prevented you from using the service, contact support and we will deal with the request fairly.
Price changes
We may change prices for future billing periods. Existing subscribers will be notified before a change takes effect and may cancel if they do not wish to continue at the new price.
Taxes
Prices may exclude taxes or fees that apply where you live. Any such amounts are added at checkout or charged in addition, as the applicable rules require.
Chargebacks
If you dispute a legitimate charge with your bank instead of contacting us first, we may suspend the account while the matter is resolved. We would rather sort it out directly and usually can.
Acceptable use
Use OtherHalf AI for your own personal enjoyment. Do not attempt to disrupt the service, probe it for weaknesses, scrape it, automate access to it, resell it or interfere with other members' use of it.
Prohibited content
You must not submit or request content involving minors or anyone presented as a minor, real identifiable people without consent, non-consensual scenarios, violence, self-harm instructions, hate speech, or anything unlawful. Accounts that do are closed immediately and reported where the law requires it.
No commercial exploitation
Access is personal and non-transferable. You may not share, rent or sell your account, and you may not use conversations or media from OtherHalf AI in a commercial product without our written permission.
Your content and licence
You keep ownership of what you write. You grant us a limited licence to store, process and display your messages solely to operate the service for you, to keep it safe and to comply with legal obligations.
Our intellectual property
The OtherHalf AI name, brand, interface, design, text, images, companion characters and code belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. Nothing in these terms transfers those rights to you.
Availability of the service
We aim to keep OtherHalf AI available around the clock but we do not promise uninterrupted access. Maintenance, updates, third-party failures and events beyond our control may cause downtime.
Changes to the service
We may add, change or remove features, companions or settings as the service develops. Where a change materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we will tell subscribers in advance.
Not advice or therapy
Companion conversations are entertainment. They are not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and they are not a substitute for care from a qualified professional.
Emergencies and crisis support
OtherHalf AI cannot help in an emergency. If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency number or a recognised crisis line immediately.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that presents a fraud or safety risk, or that we are required to close by law. You may close your account at any time from your settings.
Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that companion replies will be accurate or appropriate in every case.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, OtherHalf AI is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, for lost profits or for lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify OtherHalf AI against claims, damages and reasonable costs arising from your misuse of the service or your breach of these terms.
Complaints and disputes
If something goes wrong, write to support@otherhalf-ai.net first. Most issues are solved in a message or two, and we will always try that route before anything formal.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the place of our establishment, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection rights you have in your own country of residence.
General provisions and contact
If a clause is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, form the whole agreement between us. Questions go to support@otherhalf-ai.net.
